Dhaka Office Cost Index 2026
An annual index of what an office actually costs in Dhaka, built from quoted rents, service charges and setup costs. Methodology published first; figures follow the research.

What the index will measure
The total monthly cost of occupying an office in Dhaka, per workstation, across the main commercial areas — not headline rent alone. The intention is a figure a business can actually budget against.
Components: quoted rent, service charge, utilities and backup power, connectivity, cleaning and security, and amortised fit-out and furniture.
Method
Collect comparable quotes for a defined specification — a stated area, floor band and finish level — across a set of areas, during a stated collection window. Record each component separately so the composition of the cost is visible, not just the total.
Publish the sample size, the collection dates, the specification and the limitations alongside every figure. Where a component is estimated rather than quoted, say so on the line.
What will not be published
No modelled averages presented as observed ones, no figures carried over from other markets, and no numbers without a stated source and date. If the sample is too thin for an area, the index will say so rather than fill the gap.
