How to choose a coworking space in Dhaka
A tour checklist that goes beyond the photos: what to test, what to ask, and what usually goes unmentioned.
Visit at the hour you would actually work
A space at eleven in the morning on a weekday tells you the truth. An evening viewing tells you about the lighting and nothing else. Sit down for ten minutes and see whether you could concentrate.
Do the commute as well, at the time you would do it daily. That is often the decisive factor and the one people test last.
Test the infrastructure, do not accept a claim
Run a speed test on the guest network. Ask what happens during a power interruption and what the backup covers. Check whether the air conditioning is even across the floor. Look at the chairs and the desk height.
Ask about access hours, and what happens if you need to be in the building on a Friday or late on a deadline.
Ask about the things that only surface later
How are meeting rooms booked, and are they usually free? What is the notice period? What is the deposit and when is it returned? How are guests handled at reception? Is printing included? How full is the floor at peak?
Ask to speak to a current member for two minutes. A confident operator will arrange it.
Judge the operator, not just the room
You are buying a service as much as a space. Notice how quickly your enquiry was answered, whether the tour started on time, and whether questions were answered plainly or deflected. That behaviour is what you will live with every month.
