Meeting Rooms — 5 min read
What equipment should a professional meeting room have?
The equipment list that makes a meeting run smoothly, and the failures that most often interrupt one.
The essentials
A display large enough to read from the far seat. The right cable or adapter for it. A whiteboard with working markers. Internet that carries a video call. Power sockets within reach of the table. Chairs that stay comfortable for two hours. Air conditioning that keeps a full room bearable.
The things that fail most often
In practice, three failures cause most interruptions: the display connection, the internet during a call, and the room being too warm once it is full. Ask about all three when you book, not when you arrive.
Power backup covers the second and third during an interruption — worth confirming explicitly rather than assuming.
The small courtesies
Water on the table, tea and coffee available, a notepad and pen, and somewhere for coats and bags. None of them change the substance of a meeting and all of them change how it feels.
